We1

We are floating

Withering hearts now forgotten

Soon we will fly

And reach the heights

From which we fell

As the darkness evaporates

So do our memories

The light caresses us

Cherishes us and let’s us be

For we are its children

And so the gloom is lifted

Our souls re-emerge to merge

In glorious symmetry

We are a wonder to behold

In our undivided individuality

Being2

Pale walls

Pale room

Empty

But me

Standing

Arms outstretched

Cruciform

Not crucified

First time born

Not reborn

Breathing

Achieving

Peace

Chin on chest

Seeing

Not seen

All believing

Not believed

Breathing

Achieving

Peace

Eyes closed

Open space

Alive

Alone

Being

Faith3

I see shapeless emotions

Behind lying eyes

Divine devotion

Floating in the sky’s

Hear the echoes

As the cross drifts away

Shatters into shards

In the cold light of day

Hidden behind a mask

Of my own face

Delve back into memory

Another time another place

The book is open

For all to see

The pages don’t change

But look different to me

A stranger smiles in the mirror

Laughing at the ghost of memory

Discover4

Step into subconscious

Out of conscious

Drift & roam

Bared to the bone

Meet yourself

Outside inside

Discover

Untitled5

My dreams are moments

Captured and set free

Timeless places

Born from dust

Force of will

Holds them in place

Fragile things

I look around

But I can not see

What is deep

Deep within me

I can only feel it

Ready to break

Fragile thing

28th May6

A new life

Brings joy

Tempered by thoughts

of morbidity

Sudden realisation

That death is undeniable

Eventually

Ultimately

But I long to be immortal

She Goddess7

My Goddess, She carried an Angel

Inside she nurtured his wings

Telling him to be all he can be

Telling him all manner of things

Her bond, Physical and Psychic

Unbreakable, unable to be parted

Her love, a living solid entity

Growing stronger since this started

Through blood and liquid pain

My goddesses power surges

Our Angel prepares to fly

As he gloriously emerges

19188

Wrapped in muslin

Restrained but not suffocating

Perched on crochet arms

As swirling smoke effervesces

Through the haze I see you

Wilted now as ever

Beneath lies still the spark of youth

All but an ember burning wearily

Children and their children sit

In worship at your feet

For you are their creator

They are fragments of you

In them and us

You will live forever

Captured in perpetuity

In sepia tones

New9

No harm must come

Protection at all costs

But innocence preserved

Signifies it's own loss

This is my revelation

Not the saviour of all

Reserved for me alone

A moment before the fall

It shouts at me

Screams, tears out my hair

This is my regeneration

A time at last for me to care

Rise from the wreckage

For it must be a new dawning

Cast off the decades of sleep

Arise to the glorious morning

Deserted910

There's dark in your eyes

Prowling the shadows

Ready to materialise

And rip your life away

This complicated tale that you construct

Only serves the berserker

Finger poised over self-destruct

French kissing your destiny

And what is left behind

All that you cherished

Imageless and blind

What is you legacy

about verian thomas

I was born in 1967 in Aberdare, Wales. It is now the year 2000 and I am still alive and living in Warwickshire, England. At some point in the future I will die, but I don't know when or where just yet. I listen to music intravenously and write things down all the time. Occasionally, some of the rubbish that I do write down is worth repeating.
